D&G Men’s Collection Fall/Winter 2011

Colour, colour, and more colour. That was the focus of a Warholian influenced men’s D&G collection for fall/winter 2011. The pop art spectacular featured Mickey Mouse and Coca Cola printed T-shirts, jackets, and sweaters set to the undulating electronic sound of Big Mojo. As with the FW11 Dolce & Gabbana collection, D&G was looking more British than Italian. There was an air of earlier DSquared2 to the collection and dare I say, a bit of Topman.
Young, fun and hip – the show featured drop crotch pants, shrunken wook knitwear, corduroy, checked shirts and fur. In keeping with a youthful theme, the clothing was accessorized with colourful high-top sneakers, skinny ties, and iPods with big earphones. Favourites included a high-collared big fur vest and fur trimmed hooded jackets, the Glen plaid suits and sports jackets, coloured pants, and one crazy looking deep forest green ski jacket with white, red and yellow stripes. Wicked casual looks for the young and young-at-heart. Looking forward to seeing them hit the stores next fall!
