The much anticipated collaboration between the luxury Parisian fashion house Lanvin and trendy Swede discount fashion retailer H&M hit a climax today following the release of their Men’s and Women’s Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook and Fashion Video.  On November 20th (outside USA/Canada the 23rd), fashion shoppers around the globe will descend upon H&M like a pack of vultures, swiping up what they can for themselves and for resale on Ebay no doubt.

Admittedly, the men’s collection is more of an afterthought when compared to the women’s – which is spectacular by the way.  Nothing groundbreaking here, but there are some nice basic-coloured pieces, with some oddly metallic coloured oxfords, and of course the oversized bow ties.  My picks are as follows:  The $299 tuxedo (pants+jacket) and/or $149 shawl collared tux blazer (navy or white), the $59.95 tuxedo shirt, the $149 belted grey trench coat or $249 double-breasted navy blue overcoat, $59.95 drawstring pants (navy or white), and the funky purple leopard printed white T-shirt for $19.95.  So that’ll set you back between $440-$690 + tax.  Not bad.  For detailed photos of my Lanvin picks, please visit my Facebook page.  See you on the 20th!
